Sound Designer
Remote – United States, Worldwide – Unpaid – Internship
Prodigye is seeking a genius Sound Design intern to join the team to design unique VST presets, sound effects, and more; in one of the most rewarding sound design internship programs you will ever have. This is an unpaid internship position and requires a minimum of 10 hours per week. This internship is designed to give you real-world hands-on experience in the sample production industry.
Our internship program provides you with meaningful projects tailored to your interests, where your contributions will impact thousands of music creators across the world, and help shape the future of the music industry. This position requires familiarity and understanding of Synthesis. The ideal candidate must be able to balance attention to detail with fast-paced production for a multitude of sounds.
Please note that although the internship is unpaid, you can expect significant professional and personal mentorship, remote work from home opportunity, and flexible working hours. Students are also welcome! *All selected candidates will go through a test phase to verify sound design abilities and professional efficiency.
Sound Designer Responsibilities

Design unique and compelling sound assets for music production (including presets, effects, ambience, foley, etc.)

Plan field recording trips and foley sessions. Look for opportunities to record unique sounds

Edit, mix, master audio materials into a top-notch retail-ready production

Submit frequent project updates and respond to emails

Adhere to audio schedule and deliver audio assets on time

Sound Designer Requirements

2+ years of sound design and editing experience

Experience with top VST Synths and FX such as Serum, Nexus, Sylenth1, Omnisphere, etc

Mastery of audio software such as Ableton, Reaper, FL Studio, etc

Experience with field recording, foley, as well as dialogue recording, processing and editing

Strong portfolio that demonstrates sound design ability and versatility

A positive, solution-oriented, can-do attitude

Passion for music and sound design

Enthusiasm for exploring unfamiliar sounds

Meticulous attention to detail, as well as organizational skills

Dependable – more reliable than inconsistent
